PHS: An Amazing Legacy!

Welcome to the Tiger Pride Blog, designed for the preservation and furtherance of the rich legacy of Pensacola High School. We invite all Tigers, past and present, to join us as we remember the past and build for the future.

And what a past it is! For over one hundred years, Pensacola High School has built a rich heritage that very few institutions can claim. From renowned civic leaders to successful athletes, attorneys, doctors, educators, businessmen, and everyday shapers of culture, Pensacola High School has impacted our local community, the state, and the nation in profound and significant ways.

It is to this past that we turn to and draw upon to help preserve, strengthen, and further the great legacy of this most historic highschool. With new leaderdship at the school level, and a willing and committed alumni base, we believe that Pensacola High's rich legacy can be preserved and furthered by those that currently walk the halls of this great school and by those that someday will.

Come and join us as we blog on the latest happenings at PHS - everything from the Friday night football game to the Scholar's Bowl and all things in between!

Go Tigers!

  1. Todd, Great blog site. Thanks for helping me reconnect with some new and old Tigers! Thanks also to Rick Fountain for bringing new enthusiasm for our alma mater. Let me give a personal testimony, over the last couple of weeks, as we have been doing some maintance work at the stadium, it has been great fun to see the transformation in some needed areas, and to meet some of my heroes that came before me. I have enjoyed hearing the great football legacy of the last hundred years and I am excited of what the future holds for PHS. I would encourage others also to join to preserve the Tiger legacy! Go Tigers! -Mark Price (c/o 72)
